Trump is unhinged, everybody else is trying to fit a rational framework around him, which onlty works until his mood changes. But this seems pretty conclusive. All that stuff about how he was committed to the tarrifs and so on, just people trying to explain in a rational way the moment to moment swings in a madman’s emotional state. So what will it be? No way to tell. He’s the most powerful man in the world and everybody who should be hlding checks and balances on him has decided that he is a genius who should be given ever more power. This only ends in disaster,but there’s no way to tell what the disaster will be. Nuclear war, economic collapse? who knows.
