Not strictly a financial post, but i haven’t seen anyone else make this comment and, if true it would certainly have bearing on the markets. Lots of people are remarking on how Trump seems to be doing his best to lose the election by doubling down on his most divisive comments and actions. These choices delight his base and appall everyone else. They only make rational sense, (and I’m not ascribing rationality to Trump), but within a rational context they only make sense if he has already conceded to himself that he will lose the election and is hardening his base to support him if he refuses to leave office.
