You foolish, foolish, foolish little man. You thought investing was about analysis, business, profit, but that’s not the way the world is, that’s the way the world was, but the way the world is–“your debutante knows what you need, but I know what you want”–when you think you can learned the game by reading someone else who knows how to play it, by then the game has changed. It hasn’t been an investor’s game in years, its a speculative, momentum, predict the Fed game for decades now. Sure, some people make money playing the old game, but they’re just getting lucky, getting their water from trucks splashing it out of puddles while doing a rain dance beside the road and looking at the sky.

And now that game is ending and we enter the period of chaos. I wonder what is next and what the new game will be?
